Bend, the local designer and maker of activewear, has teamed with Chipotle for a contest to design the leggings and tank tops for its upcoming Avocado Collection. Sales of this collection will benefit Nationwide Children’s Hospital. The grand prize winner will receive multiple items, including free burritos for a year.
“Every entrant will also receive a discount coupon from Bend,” says Adam Heller who with his spouse opened Bend in 2014. Bend makes many wonderful items including OSU- and holiday-themed athletic gear. For the upcoming contest, any avocado-inspired designs for leggings, tank tops or both will be accepted. The Avocado Collection is to come out in March of 2018.
Entries must be original works but can be Photoshopped or even hand-drawn. The entry template is in a link on the Bend design contest page. Paper entry forms are available at Bend, 1617 W. Lane Ave. in Upper Arlington, near Whole Foods and Yoga Six. Bend is open Mondays through Wednesdays 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Thursdays through Sundays 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Entries need to be received by Bend Feb. 9, 2018. Winners will be announced Feb. 15.
Bend plans to bring out their Avocado Collection in March this year; a portion of sales from that collection will be donated to Nationwide Children’s hospital. Also, customers who buy an item from the Bend Avocado Collection will also received coupons for free Chipotle’s Chips and Guacamole.
The contest winner will receive $100 certificate from Bend, a set of the Avocado collection wear, a bag of Chipotle swag and 50 Chipotle burrito coupons.
