Dennison Project Approved, Will Break Ground in Spring

The Victorian Village Commission on Thursday approved the latest iteration of Borror Properties’ proposal for 991 Denison Avenue. With a final unit count of 70 – which includes a 54-unit apartment building at the corner of Dennison and Starr and 16 for-sale units on the Second Avenue side of the site – the project is now on track for a spring ground-breaking, according Jeff Baur of Borror.

After first going to the commission with a much denser proposal in March, Borror has been back multiple times, taking feedback from the commission and making significant changes to the final design.

The apartment building will be known as The Jerome, while the townhouse portion of the development will be called Truberry on Second.

Meanwhile, three Borror projects in the Short North are currently under construction;  the Prescott (at Prescott and Pearl), Truberry on Summit (Summit and First) and 40 West Third Avenue. Baur said that they could all come on line within a few weeks of each other in late spring of 2015.

Borror Properties also recently announced plans to redevelop the White Castle site at 2nd and High, and has proposed a 13-unit, six-story condo building for 848 North Pearl Street in Italian Village.
