DareDevil Dogs Closes Ahead of Redevelopment Plans

Following the November announcement that their location could eventually be demolished to make way for a new eight-story hotel development, the owners of DareDevil Dogs have decided to close their doors at 1437 North High Street. The company issued an updated statement this evening:

“Sadly, DareDevil Dogs has closed its doors for the final time. We would like to thank every single person who allowed us the chance to share our dream with them. The truth is, sometimes, even when you put everything you have into something, you come up short. We will forever be indebted to this city for supporting us, and we hope you enjoyed your dogs!”

The proposed hotel development is still going through the required processes of the University Area Review Board, so there is no demolition or construction timeline in place as it is still pending approval. If approved, the proposal would also see the demolition of the building next door, which houses The Village Idiot bar.
