After weeks of questions, speculations, and twenty-hour days, Da Levee is having a soft re-opening tomorrow, Friday, February 15th, for their new and improved restaurant, this time complete with a bar. The promise has been great — artisanal beer, Hurricanes, and any other libation you might desire to accompany the cajun/creole fare Da Levee is known for in the Short North.
A new familiar, Da Levee has been a popular lunch spot especially, providing comfort food with a spicy kick. But with its inability to offer cocktails to the many who demanded, business could only go so far, and so the guy behind Da Levee, Justin Boehme, decided to take the plunge last month to add a full bar to the joint.
After much sweat and toil, Da Levee is ready to open its doors again with a grand reopening launch planned for its three-year anniversary on March 15th. The soft opening this weekend is for the many fans who simply must have their etoufee, the ones who’ve always wondered what Da Levee is all about but haven’t gotten there yet, and the ones simply looking for a good time. Sounds like everyone.
