Indoor cycling workout space CycleBar will be making its Central Ohio debut this spring when it opens at 4201 Weaverton Lane at the Easton Gateway. The facility offers a unique high-energy exercise experience in what is described as a “concert-like” atmosphere.
“I am excited about bringing the CycleBar experience to Columbus,” says franchise operator David Eichelberger. “The Columbus market is a health-conscious, active area and CycleBar fits into the community’s lifestyle for both new and experienced riders.”
CycleBar requires no membership, operating on a pay-per-class business model, which includes amenities such as towels, showers, lockers and cycling shoes. Participants are led by an instructor who take classes on a 50-minute ride while video screens, LED lighting and a DJ booth all come to life.
“CycleBar is precisely the type of business we envisioned when we opened the Gateway District,” said Beau Arnason, Executive VP with Steiner + Associates, the management company at Easton. “CycleBar’s offerings will appeal not only to visitors, but to those who live and work at Easton and in the surrounding communities.”
The concept will be be unique at Easton, but not for long. Amy Snow, another local franchiser, has plans to open a location in Powell just a few weeks after the Easton debut. Additional locations are slated for Polaris and the Short North, although specific location details have not yet been announced.
