    In our sandwich-obsessed society, we have to balance quality with price. Therefore, value is always in the eye of the beholder. Break the $10 threshold and you’d better deliver the goods.

    Cuco’s is one of those rare places where quality and price are never out of balance. The restaurant’s tortas, or Mexican sandwiches, are soundly constructed, multi-dimensional beauties using thinner but fluffy bread so the ingredients aren’t vanquished under a yeasty pillow. Many are garnished with lettuce, tomato and avocado for that creamy dimension.
