    Crimson Cup Launches Innovation Lab

2015 was a big year for Crimson Cup. The local coffee roaster opened their second brick-and-mortar location in Upper Arlington, they were named the #1 Macro Roaster in the US by Roast Magazine, and were recognized by The Metropreneur as the best small business growth story in Columbus.

That doesn’t mean that the company will rest easy in 2016. Crimson Cup kicked off the new year by opening their new Innovation Lab inside their headquarters at 700 Alum Creek Drive, just south of Bexley. The renovations come just one year after expanding roasting operations into a new 20,000 square foot building nearby.

The new Innovation Lab provides the company with a state-of-the-art facility for roasting, cupping, training and hosting other events. The centrally located Modbar station also allows Crimson Cup staff to experiment with the latest coffee shop equipment and trends in-house.

Crimson Cup plans to begin hosting training class in February, with a schedule of events to be announced later this month.
