Montreal Impact finally put an end to their ridiculous 25 game win-less streak away from home with a 2-1 victory over a sloppy looking Columbus Crew SC on Saturday night at MAPFRE Stadium.
Second half goals from Maxim Tissot and Andres Romero were enough for three points as the home team struggled to connect passes and yet again looked out of sorts at the back.
Federico Hiquain pulled a goal back inside injury time in the second half and Crew SC would get a few other half-chances, but it proved to be too little too late as the home team slumped to a second defeat in less than a week.
Crew SC now gets a much needed rest before next weeks potentially season changing game against LA Galaxy in front of what promises to be an almost full house at MAPFRE.
