Construction Update: OSU North Campus Gateway

For nearly two years, the north-east quadrant of the Ohio State University’s main campus has been under heavy construction. Known as the “North Campus Gateway” project, this $370 million project has seen the demolition of 11 smaller buildings, the ongoing construction of 11 new buildings, and three additions to existing buildings. The development is largely focused on dormitory accommodations, adding approximately 3,200 new beds to accommodate the influx of sophomores being required to live on campus.

While several dormitories opened to students this past fall (Torres House, Scott House, Raney House and Bowen House), construction will still continue through Fall Semester 2016 when all buildings are expected to be completed.

Meanwhile, other nearby large-scale projects are also underway off-campus at the South Campus Gateway Expansion, and the 15th and High Development Plan.
