There’s a major construction project on just about every block of High Street through the Short North, either planned for the near future, or currently under construction. The current slate of projects include new apartments, new condos, new offices, new parking garages, new retail and restaurant spaces and even a new rooftop patio or two.

Back in the 1880s, the Plain City community wanted a village public square. Little did they know that more than 140 years later, a future generation would have the same idea.
Walker Evans is the co-founder of Columbus Underground, along with his wife and business partner Anne Evans. Walker has turned local media into a full time career over the past decade and serves on multiple boards and committees throughout the community.
