It’s been four years since the original Poindexter Village affordable housing community was demolished, and the area has quickly been reborn as a new 449-unit mixed-income community known as Legacy Pointe at Poindexter. The new area includes a mix of contemporary multi-family buildings and single family homes, with a mix of one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom units current available for rent.
Originally planned for construction over the course of five phases, the project has been accelerated so that phases two, three and four are being constructed simultaneously. The site will also eventually be home to a Poindexter Village museum that will be housed inside the few remaining buildings from the original housing project.
