Recently named Best Cheap Eats by CU readers, Condado Tacos has announced a fifth restaurant in its hometown of Columbus. Condado Polaris will open next summer. Following openings in the Short North, Downtown, Easton and Clintonville, their newest store will make their second outside Columbus’ urban core.
“People love our tacos—we are not limited to opening our restaurants to one demographic or geographic area,” said Joe Kahn, owner/operator, in a press release. “Condado Polaris can serve several neighboring areas as well as traffic from Polaris-area businesses, shopping and entertainment. We are excited to bring our tacos to the suburbs.”
Located at 8958 Lyra Drive, Condado Polaris will be about 4,000 square feet in size, seating 170 taco lovers. It’ll sport its own version of that signature Dia de los Muertos look Condado is known for, church pews and murals in all.
The build-your-own taco restaurant launched in 2014 and has expanded rapidly throughout Columbus, breaking into the Pittsburgh market earlier this year. Within the next year, three more locations will pop up, including two in Indianapolis and a second one in Pittsburgh.
