ComFest is Either Cancelling or Rescheduling This Year

The Columbus Festival Season traditionally kicks off in May, but several of the earliest outdoor parties are already cancelling or rescheduling. Following suit with the Asian Festival and Arts Festival, the organizers of Community Festival (aka: ComFest) announced tonight on social media that the event will not move forward on their originally scheduled weekend.

“Due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, ComFest organizers have made the difficult decision to not have the festival on June 26, 27 and 28, 2020,” stated the post. “The safety and health of our volunteers, vendors, performers, workshop presenters and our many community partners are ComFest’s priority. Discussions are underway about potential options moving forward.”

If that message seems a bit vague, it’s likely intentional. The organizers are not yet saying whether the event will be cancelled for the year or moved to a date later in the season, and are likely waiting to see how events unfold before making a more formal declaration.

We’ll publish more information on ComFest and other upcoming events and festivals as soon as more information is available.
