April Fools: Columbus Underground to Launch YP Magazine

We are proud to announce that Columbus Underground will soon be launching a brand new monthly magazine called Columbus Underground Magazine (or CUM for short) aimed at the growing Young Professional demographic . “Its finally time”, said Columbus Underground founder Walker Evans. “Our goal has always been to make the jump from the blogosphere into the magazineosphere, and with current market conditions, the timing couldn’t be better.”

Last year when C-BUS Magazine ceased publication, it left a hole in the market just waiting to be filled. “Young professionals have gone almost a full year without any way of being updated on new places to eat or which bars are the best to be seen in”, continued Evans. “And with the economy in a downturn and jobs being lost, one of the first luxuries being cut is internet access. Where are YPs going to turn for their entertainment news? I’ll tell you! Free magazines available at select locations around the city, that’s where!”

The debut issue of CUM is expected to hit the newsstands later this week and will include featured articles on topics such as:

    • Profiles of the best and hottest bartenders in Columbus
    • A guide for the best cheap places to eat on a budget
    • An event calendar giving you the scoop on what’s coming up this month
    • A photo spread from the January Gallery Hop
    • The ultimate Easton Shopping Guide
    • A preview of the upcoming OSU Football Season
    • And much much more!

Evans stated that future expansion plans include a new Columbus Underground Radio Station (WCUS), a Columbus Underground Magazine for Baby Boomers, and a Columbus Underground Public Access Show.
