Columbus Ranked 2nd Best City for College Grads
Remember two weeks ago when Columbus was ranked 8th best city in the US for college graduates? Well, now we’re number two.
Actually, this newest ranking was compiled by SmartAsset.com, while the one from two weeks ago was put together by Realtor.com, so the change in placement has more to do with metrics than any actual change taking place in the past two weeks.
Still, the results are noteworthy as it reflects an overall positive environment in our city for young people with college degrees. The study cites Columbus’ healthy job market as one of the biggest factors for its high ranking on their list.
“Columbus residents also have the 12th-best cost of living number overall, landing at two percent below the national average,” stated Lauren Perez, Editorial Assistant at SmartAsset. “With money to spare, you can hit up a number of entertainment and dining spots in the Indie Art City. Plus, about 20 percent of Columbus’ population is in their twenties, so you’ll have friends to mingle with and meet.”
The list from SmartAsset was topped by Cincinnati, while Nashville, San Antonio and Pittsburgh rounded out the Top Five.
