There was an interesting article in The Dispatch yesterday that you may have overlooked during the holiday: City shouldn’t push outward, critics contend. Denser growth is something that many urban living enthusiasts have been advocating for a long time, so this concept isn’t really anything new.
But what it does display could be a changing mindset with the general public. Of course, this doesn’t mean the overnight end of suburban sprawl. But it does show that smart growth, urban infill, and the reuse of underdeveloped land could all continue to have a more significant presence in the plans for our how Columbus continues to grow.
