The Intelligent Community Forum (ICF) has named Columbus as one of their top 21 smart communities of the world for the second year in a row (Columbus appeared on the list for the first time in 2011). Other cities to receive this recognition this year include Rio de Janeiro, Toronto and Jiading New City, China.
ICF exists to encourage best practices and to recognize communities that are challenged to create prosperity, stability and cultural meaning in a world where jobs, investment and progress increasingly depend on broadband communications.
