Columbus Metropolitan Club Relocating Events to The Boat House

After hosting hundreds of luncheon forum events at the Athletic Club of Columbus, the Columbus Metropolitan Club (CMC) announced today that they’ll be relocating to a new venue this spring. The organization will be moving its main weekly event series to The Boat House at Confluence Park, starting in April.

“We’re very pleased with our new home and its panoramic view of the Columbus skyline as well as the vibrant new life being built along the Downtown riverfront,” says Jane Scott, CMC President and CEO. “The free parking, easy access from major arteries and large sunny rooms will easily accommodate our weekly forum attendance from 100 to 400 people and provide our audience with a high quality program experience.”

Scott praised the facilities at the ACC for accommodating the organization during a period of growth, stating that weekly forum attendance has increased from an average of 110 in 2003 to 175 in 2015. The most popular events exceed 250 attendees — with many selling out at 350 attendees — and a larger facility is needed to provide space for larger events.

The first forum to take place in the new facility will focus on the topic of local crowdfunding campaigns, which will be moderated by Susan Post of TheMetropreneur.com. That event will take place on Tuesday, April 5th with more details coming soon to the CMC website.
