Happy Weekend! Holiday events are in full swing now, so you can find plenty of ways to get your Christmas Cheer. We’ve got a couple of contests going on – enter to win tickets to The 12 Dates of Christmas or Bon Jovi. CATCO is Kids opens The Neverending Story. Laura Alexander has a new show, Emergence, at the Homeport Gallery. It’s a Christmas edition of Bad Movie Nite at Studio 35. Erika Taylor Urban Spa is partnering with Powder Puff Pinups for Pinup for a Day on Friday and Saturday. Short North Stage opens Songs of the Season with shows through Sunday. CATCO continues shows of The 12 Dates of Christmas and The Story of My Life. MadLab has the Age of Bees on Friday and Saturday. Columbus Documentary Week begins at the Gateway Film Center. Enjoy dinner and music at ZenCha downtown. Listen to Dave Koz and Friends at the Southern Theatre. The Nutcracker opens on Friday evening.


Studio 35 has their annual free appreciation party at 1 and 3:30pm of A Christmas Story on Saturday. The Gateway Film Center has a Lord of the Rings marathon. The Drexel has Miami Connection on Saturday and Sunday. Join Arlington Optical for a trunk show featuring Tom Davies. It’s time for the 8th annual Rock Potluck at Skully’s. Hang out at Wholly Craft for their 8th Annual Midnight Madness Sale. Urban Arts Space has another Art Explorations for Kids. Get a picture of your pet with Santa at Village Pet Supply. Get your fox softie entries in to Sew to Speak. The Discovery District is having a Holiday Shop Around on Saturday. Pick up an ugly sweater at CS Gallery and check out their Merry Kitschmas show. It’s the final Year of Yay ride of 2012. Go to the 11th Annual Village of Lights Tour in Merion Village. Pick up some gifts at Crafts Gone Wild at Wild Goose Creative. Kids can decorate cookies at the North Market.


Happy Hanukkah! It’s Holidayville in Clintonville. Kids can ice cookies at the Franklin Park Conservatory during a class with Pattycake Bakery, and there are also gingerbread houses on display.
