Happy Fourth of July everyone! There are plenty of fireworks for you to see if you love them, I do! Red, White & Boom is in its 30th year and the show starts at 10pm on Friday, July 2. There are other activities around the Arena District, Taste of Boom will be happening on Nationwide Blvd from 3pm to midnight. Take COTA there! Busses will be running special extra routes. The Independence Day Parade will start at 6pm at COSI. Downtown Live is featuring The Randy’s tonight at The Darby Cafe. Stop by Wholly Craft this weekend to get your raffle ticket to help Alix Reese. Tickets are $5 and you get the chance to win a great basket of handmade goodies and help her out also. Tickets are available until the 5th. Gallery Hop is this Saturday as well. Mahan Gallery is having a fun event called Penny Pinch to feature affordable art. Sugar Bar is closing for a remodel on Saturday. Enjoy the final day at Sugar’s closing party. For more fireworks, join Picnic with the Pops for their Patriotic Pops on Saturday. The DooDah Parade is on Sunday! Lineup is at noon on Park St. between Buttles and Goodale. Help with the Gulf of Mexico clean up by attending Dirty Rice for Clean Shores on Saturday. $5 will get you a great plate of food prepped and cooked by some of the town’s favorite lovely ladies. And if you are into the whole vampire scene, Twilight Eclipse is now showing, catch it and other movies after Red, White & Boom at The Arena Grand for only $5! Enjoy the holiday!
