Columbus Mega Summer Weekend 2009 – Vol. 7
When the Fourth of July lands on a Saturday, you’re pretty much guaranteed a big summer weekend. Tonight, half the city descends upon Downtown for Red White & Boom, the largest fireworks display in the Midwest (parking tips here), with other neighborhood firework festivals to follow on Saturday. After RW&B ends, every bar, club, lounge, and restaurant in the Downtown area is bound to be packed with excitement. The Get Right crew is taking over Club Karma for the evening and Colour will be doing their weekly party at the Spice Bar.
On Saturday, the annual Doo Dah Parade will be taking over the Short North during the day, followed by Gallery Hop in the evening. If you’re looking for something a little more low key, perhaps a visit to the Columbus Museum of Art is in order to check out their Kleibacker exhibit, which ends on Sunday. The Columbus Symphony will also be doing Picnic with the Pops in the evening. On Sunday, Wild Goose is hosting a wine tasting event with House Wine.
Have a great weekend, Columbus! And Happy Independence Day!
