    Columbus Mega Summer Weekend 2009 – Vol. 5

    Another weekend loaded with things to do! Start your weekend early with The Wex Drive-In showing of The Wolf Man, or the CU Happy Hour at The Hills Market. Columbus Pride Festival is happening all weekend, events center around the Short North. The parade is on Saturday at 1pm. Stop by the Cultural Arts center for a special viewing of their Contemporary Quilt Exhibit on Sunday from 1-4:30pm. The 19th Annual Juneteenth Ohio Festival is also going on this weekend at Franklin Park. Catch Available Light Theatre’s latest play God’s Ear before it is gone! Head out to Gahanna for the Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival. Or if you want to go a little farther, head to Logan for the Washboard Music Festival. Or go just a little farther for the Slow Food Event in Athens. And don’t forget about the Actor’s Theatre in Schiller Park if you want to go on a picnic. PBJ & Jazz starts their summer series on Saturday in the Topiary Park. For more outdoor music, check out Rhythm & Art in Poplar Park on Friday evening. Also, don’t forget the fundraiser for Zoe Buyalos in Clintonville on Saturday. Or, you can help the Ohio Art League celebrate its’ 100th birthday. If geeky board games are more your thing, check out the Geekfest at Wild Goose Creative this weekend. Try to get one last dinner in at Handke’s before it closes. And of course, Happy Father’s Day to all of you Dads out there! Enjoy your weekend Columbus!
