Columbus Mayoral Race: New Endorsements and Announcements
With two weeks remaining until election day, both Columbus mayoral candidates are making news announcements on nearly a daily basis. Yesterday we received an update from each.
Andrew Ginther announced the launch of the #OurColumbus section of his campaign website. The online tool features an interactive map that highlights neighborhood investments made in recent years, as well as story vignettes about people, places and programs throughout the city.
The new site can be found at andrewginther.com/ourcolumbus/.
Meanwhile, the campaign for Zach Scott announced yesterday that former Columbus Police Chief James Jackson officially endorsed his bid for mayor.
“I served the City of Columbus for 51 years retiring in 2008, and in all my years watching City Hall I have never seen such widespread corruption,” said Jackson in a statement released yesterday. “Columbus deserves better leadership than this. One thing I know is criminals rarely stop being criminals until they are held accountable. I am supporting Zach Scott because he has the leadership skills and vision to take Columbus and all its citizens through this. He will clean up City Hall.”
Both candidates will participate in live interviews next week with Columbus Underground, broadcast online via Periscope. For more information on tuning into the broadcast, CLICK HERE.
