    Columbus Foundation’s The Big Give Returns

    On Wednesday, June 10, a 25-hour day of giving begins as The Columbus Foundation’s annual online giving rally returns.

    All gifts received during The Big Give will be boosted on a pro-rata basis thanks to a more than $1 million Bonus Pool contributed to by donors as well as corporate and community partners.

    More than 1,100 nonprofit organizations are eligible to receive gifts via the Giving Store. For an organization to participate in The Big Give, it has be a 501(c)(3) located in and serving Delaware, Fairfield, Franklin, Hocking, Licking, Madison, Morrow, Perry, Pickaway or Union counties.

    New for 2020 are options to support individuals, families and nonprofits dealing with the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.

    This includes Service!, a hunger relief effort for unemployed hospitality workers and their families, as well as the foundation’s Gifts of Kindness Fund for individuals and families and the Emergency Response Fund for Franklin County nonprofits.

    Donations can be made for as little as $20. And also new for 2020, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay can be used to donate in addition to credit cards.

    The last Big Give saw more than $18 million go to local nonprofits.
