    Sweet Treats Dessert Festival Preview: Popsicles, Mules, Cookies, and more!

    Some people believe dessert should be saved until the end of a meal.  Not us!  At the Sweet Treats Dessert Festival, we are only interested in desserts, and lots of them!  So let’s have dessert for every meal!?  Who’s in??

    This years event will feature some well-known treat makers, and some not yet known.  (We are pretty sure after this event though, all of the vendors here at Sweet Treats will be well known!)

    J-POPS, Columbus’ Original Handcrafted Ice Pops will have their Pink Lemonade mini-pops.  This popsicle is made without artificial colors, so the pink color is created from raspberries.  If you’ve never tried J-Pop’s, you are totally missing out.  The flavor combinations are always a treat for your mouth and your heart! 

    Simple Times Mixers will offer samples of their Pomegranate Mule and Strawberry Lemonade.  “Inspired by a time when real ingredients were the only option”, these mixers are sure to have you reminiscing of the bittersweetness of warm days and cool nights of Summer.  

    Short North Piece of Cake is bringing the loveliest of sandwich cookies.  These heart-shaped, chocolate shortbread cookies, with raspberry cream filling are sure to make you have all the feels.   With this sweet treat, they may be trying to make you fall in love?

    J’s Sweet Treats and Wedding Cakes will be sampling their best-selling Double Chocolate Cake.  Not only will their treats make your sweet tooth happy,  your eyes will get to appreciate their beauty! J’s Sweet Treats and Wedding Cakes is a Premier Boutique Bakery coming to Parsons Avenue.  Their specialty is “Making Magical Memorable Moments through Edible Art!” 

    Not only will we have sweet treats this year, we will also have sweet words!  Amy Turn Sharp will be inspiring us all by typing poems of love for ticket holders during our event!  Things you’ve thought of saying, but weren’t sure if you should…Amy will say it!  Ask her to type her deepest desires and she won’t hesitate.  The perfect Valentine poem is already at her fingertips!

    With our first session (12pm-2pm) already over 50% sold out, you shouldn’t wait want to grab you ticket.  All tickets gets guests access to the full event and a treated sample from each local sweets maker. cOur Sweet Treats Dessert Festival has three ticket options;Early Bird Tickets are $25 and give guests exclusive access to the event from 11 a.m. – noon (on top of the 12 p.m – 2 p.m. session). The other two timed session tickets, 12 p.m. -2 p.m. and 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. are $15 each.  We are excited to give back a portion of the ticket sales to the Gifts of Kindness Fund again this year!

    But wait, there’s more!  Grace K Design is our showcase artist.  On display will be a one-of-a-kind Sweet Treat installation.  Grace is a Columbus resident who graduated from Columbus College of Art & Design.  Her work can be seen throughout Columbus, most notably is the beautiful floral installation on the outdoor telephone booth at Easton Town Center. 

    Plus, our friends at Wild Cat Gift and Party will be set up with their famous Sweet Treats Dessert Festival photo booth.  Get your picture taken and shop their super sweet and unique party decor and gifts!
