After the decision was made to cancel the 2020 Columbus Arts Festival, the Greater Columbus Arts Council has announced plans for the Columbus Arts Festival in Place.
The virtual celebration will look at the festival’s “rich history and bright future,” said the organization in a press release, with videos, music and photos, as well as the showcasing of exhibiting artists.
The week of the festival, the arts council will share behind-the-scenes reflections from its volunteer coordinating committee.
The weekend the festival was supposed to take place, June 12 through 14, the arts council will share live interviews, a Chalk Art Challenge and other festival events transformed into virtual experiences, including shopping, the festival Patron Party and live music.
