Coleman’s Deputy Chief of Staff Departs City Hall

Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman may still have a full year left in office, but his Deputy Chief of Staff is departing ahead of his boss. Dan Williamson announced today that he is leaving City Hall for a position with Paul Werth Associates effective on Monday. Williamson has held a position with the Mayor’s Office since 2008, when he took over as Communications Director following the departure of Mike Brown.

“I’ve had the great honor of working for the best city and the best mayor in the country,” said Williamson in an email today. “I’ve also had the pleasure of working with the best press corps in the country. You all have made our city better by holding us accountable, giving us credit when we do a good job and criticizing us when we need to do better.”

Communications Coordinator Tyneisha Harden is being promoted to Communications Director to replace Williamson.
