    Council Adds $4.7M in Amendments to 2010 Budget

    Last night, Columbus City Council held a public hearing on several 2010 budget amendments at City Hall. The additional $4.7M added to the budget came in the form of 19 amendments that touched on a range of city services and programs, as well as $15M devoted to the Rainy Day Fund.

    The amendments include:

    • $2.19M – New 50-person Fire recruitment class
    • $0.36M – Community Shelter Board
    • $0.33M – Economic Development Plans
    • $0.30M – the Columbus Cultural Leadership Consortium
    • $0.26M – Recreation & Parks Restoration and Programs

    • $0.25M – Franklin Park Conservatory
    • $0.25M – TechColumbus
    • $0.13M – Human Services Restoration
    • $0.10M – Franklin County Municipal Court, Clerk of Court’s Office
    • $0.10M – Franklin County Municipal Court
    • $0.08M – Office of Minority Health
    • $0.08M – Community Crime Patrol
    • $0.07M – Amethyst
    • $0.06M – Ohio Small Business Development Center
    • $0.06M – Development Department Staffing
    • $0.05M – Somali Community Association of Ohio
    • $0.05M – Columbus Neighborhood Health Centers
    • $0.03M – Crime Stoppers
