Chipotle Closes Tasty Made Burgers in Lancaster
After just 16 months in business, Chipotle is closing its burger experiment Tasty Made. The chain opened a single location in Lancaster, Ohio in October 2016, and after a lukewarm reception, decided to close its doors earlier this week.
The Lancaster Eagle-Gazette broke the news on Wednesday, in which a Chipotle official stated that the economics behind the new restaurant concept did not work out.
The move comes just a few days ahead of the start date for Chipotle’s new CEO, Brian Niccol, who will begin leading the burrito chain on March.
