Better TogetherThe Columbus Foundation’s crowdfunding platform that rallies individuals to work together to bring out the best in our community—has passed the $250,000 mark in support for central Ohio nonprofits!

Better Together launched in 2017 in The Giving Store, the Foundation’s online giving platform that inspires one-stop charitable giving. Through Better Together, community members can show love to local nonprofits by donating toward their time-sensitive projects and programs. Anyone can give by credit card, with a minimum gift of $20. The platform has now supported 35 projects totaling $286,692.

One example Pink Ribbon Girls’ (PRG) “More Than Just a Ride: Helping Cancer Patients Get to Treatment.” The project hoped to raise $10,000 to expand PRG’s team to help them serve more people. Pink Ribbon Girls provides rides for individuals battling cancer, and so much more. The organization’s free, direct services, including meal delivery, rides to treatment, and housecleaning are available to any family in central Ohio facing treatment for breast or gynecological cancer. Thanks to generous support from donors, they met their goal!

“Thanks to your generous support of our More Than Just A Ride campaign, we have met our goal and will now be able to hire a new transportation specialist for PRG Central Ohio! This will be invaluable to our clients and their families! We’ll be able to provide them with a comfortable ride to and from treatment, ensuring that lack of transportation is no longer a barrier for local cancer patients seeking life-saving treatment.”
