Traditional Mexican restaurant Cazuela’s Grill will open a new location tomorrow, Thursday, Oct. 3, at the space formerly occupied by Mad Mex, 1542 N. High St. at The Gateway in the University District.
Cazuela’s Grill has been in business for over 13 years — with their original location having moved from 2247 N. High St. to 2321 N. High St. several years ago. The restaurant also has a popular food truck, and two other locations in Reynoldsburg and Cambridge, Ohio.
Cazuela’s menu items will include enchiladas, fajitas, chimichangas, and margaritas featuring premium tequilas for lunch, dinner and happy hour.
A new storefront is still in anticipation.
The restaurant is one of three new establishments coming to Gateway, including the first location for Taiwanese and Chinese-style restaurant Yong Kang Street and the second location for gaming center Game Arena.
“The addition of Cazuela’s and Yong Kang Street contribute to our unique melting pot of restaurants, while Game Arena offers a new resource and popular activity to the university area,” said Christiana Moffa, property manager for Gateway, in a press release. “We are so pleased with the continued evolution of the Gateway, and will be almost fully-occupied after these new establishments open.”
