It’s been quite a year for Mozart’s Bakery and Piano Café. Last July, they moved from their original home at 2885 North High Street to a massive, multi-room, 300-guests space at 4784 North High Street, former home of the Beechwold Tavern.
Since that move, the Sahas, owners of Mozart’s, have been upping their game, as well as the customer experience, creating a monthly wine tasting event with Jon Offredo of Offredo Selection Wines, as well as one of the world’s most expensive bon-bons, the Mozartkugel Truffle.
This has been in addition to adding a beautiful, 40-person patio, from where guests can enjoy the smooth jazz sounds of legend, Arnett Howard, on a warm summer night, and constantly creating new and inspired menus that not only showcase their incredible pastries, but their savory side as well.
The new summer menu at Mozart’s features a collection of burgers that are simple and delicious. Guests can try the Mozart Burger, topped with a marinated portabella cap, the Breakfast Burger, with black forest ham and a fried egg, or the Salmon Burger, served on a kaiser roll.
There’s also a new Atlantic Salmon with Risotto to balance out the usually heavily-European dinner menu. All these new items, like all of Mozart’s fare, is reasonably priced, at $8.95-$11.95 for the burgers (up to 8oz) and $15.95 for the fish entrée.
Mozart’s has also been awarded a 2014 Columbus Small Business Community Award for Direct Energy, regularly hosts fundraisers for the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, and was the site of the very first Taste of Clintonville earlier this year.
“Our new space has allowed us to bring together elements that have always distinguished Mozart’s – amazing food and pastries, a deep love of arts and music, and a commitment to our community,” shares Anand Saha. ” Mozart’s is more than just a restaurant, and we don’t plan on slowing down at all now that we have settled in.”
On Saturday, August 2nd, Mozart’s says thank you to the community for an amazing year with a bash featuring arts and crafts vendors, free food samples, including of the Mozartkugel, and live music with Arnett Howard.
The celebration will last from 4pm – 9pm, and admission is free. In the upcoming months, look for Mozart’s to hold a screening of Amadeus to benefit the Friends of Bertramka, Mozartfest, a local competition for music students and teachers, and Mozart’s 20th anniversary in January 2015.
Mozart’s Bakery & Piano Café is open Tuesday-Saturday, 8am – 10pm, and Friday-Saturday, 8am – 8pm.
