    car2go Expanding Columbus Fleet to 300 Vehicles, Adds Regional Access

    It’s been six months since car2go first launched in Columbus, and the innovative car-sharing service is continuing to expand locally. In addition to bringing service to Port Columbus, car2go announced that it is also beefing up its fleet and will soon be adding another 50 vehicles to the network, increasing the total to 300.

    Over 9,500 local residents have signed up for car2go service since October, using the vehicles to travel within the 33-square -mile Home Area radius.

    A local car2go membership currently works within all other US cities when traveling, and starting on May 5th, the cross-city compatibility will be expanded seamlessly across both Canada and the United States. The cities with service in North America includes Austin, San Diego, DC, Portland, Miami, Seattle, South Bay Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Columbus, Denver, Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary and Montreal.
