    CAPA announces 43rd annual Summer Movie Series

    The CAPA Summer Movie Series has announced the film line-up for 2013. It will feature three Hitchcock films The Robert Redford and Mia Farrow version of The Great Gatsby, all in all, 27 different films over nine weeks. The series will run June 28–August 25 at the historic Ohio Theatre (39 E. State St.).

    On Friday, July 26, get the chance to meet Fritz the Nite Owl as he returns to host the “Fright Nite Friday” double feature—Son of Dracula (1943) and The Black Cat (1934).

    Live music by organist Clark Wilson on the Ohio Theatre’s famed “Mighty Morton” theatre organ will be played with the silent film presentation of The Little American (1917), starring Mary Pickford. It will be shown Thursday and Friday, August 8 and 9.

    Summer Movie ticket strips are available through Sunday, August 11, at the CAPA Ticket Center (39 E. State St.) or www.ticketmaster.com. Strips of 10 tickets are $25, a savings of $1.50 per ticket off day-of-show prices. Phone orders for strip tickets can be placed by calling (614) 469-0939.

    If you decide day-of-show that you’d like to go, individual films are $4 and go on sale one hour prior to show time at the Ohio Theatre kiosk. Senior citizen tickets are $3.50. Kiosk sales are cash only.

    Students between the ages of 13-19 may purchase a $5 Summer Movie Series pass as part of the PNC Arts Alive All Access program. The pass admits the student to an unlimited number of movie screenings during the 2013 season and can be purchased online at www.gofor5.com. Students who wish to attend an R rated film must be accompanied by an adult.

    All tickets are general admission and seating is on a first come, first served basis.
