Cameron Mitchell Restaurants has been quite busy lately. The Pearl opened last year and won the hearts (and stomachs) of our readers in our annual survey, the new Hudson 29 concept will debut on Lane Avenue this year, a new steakhouse concept will open in Gahanna this spring, with a casual steakhouse restaurant landing on Grandview Avenue in 2015.
But the 20 year old restaurant company is also taking things back to its roots with the renovation and reopening of its first restaurant: Cameron’s American Bistro in Linworth. The restaurant, which originally debuted in 1993, closed for a two-week facelift this month and is celebrating its grand reopening today.
“As we mark this important anniversary, I am proud to honor our guests with an updated version of the ‘neighborhood gem’ they’ve loved for two decades,” said Cameron Mitchell, founder of Cameron Mitchell Restaurants. “While it’s always been a favorite for loyal diners in central Ohio, the renewed restaurant will be warm and inviting, and I’m eager to share it with our guests.”
The renovations include new decor, several larger granite tables to seat party guests, a new bar area with flat panel TVs, and enhancements to the ceilings to reduce ambient noise. The menu is also getting a makeover that retains old favorites while adding new dishes including Salmon Carpaccio, Oysters Bingo, Pork Chop + Clams, Teriyaki Salmon and more.
