The Short North building at 711 N. High St. will host two new Cameron Mitchell Restaurants concepts: Del Mar SoCal Kitchen and the Lincoln Social Rooftop. Located at 705 and 711 N. High St. respectively, the two restaurants will open in April 2019.
Although still in development, Del Mar SoCal Kitchen will stay true to its name, offering California-inspired dishes and cocktails, and promising “good food, good vibes and good times to remember.”
“We gather inspiration from all over the country when developing a new concept,” said Brian Hinshaw, senior vice president of food and beverage, in a press release. “This is the kind of restaurant you would typically find in Laguna Beach and we wanted to put it in the heart of Columbus. The menu is fresh, fun and a vegetarian’s dream.”
Del Mar will be a dinner-only full service restaurant presenting coastal dishes like poké bowls and lobster rolls, along with veggie items like black bean burgers. Gluten-free options are touted as well.
Guests can take an elevator directly from Del Mar to the Lincoln Social Rooftop. The rooftop lounge will offer a full bar with an emphasis on craft cocktails. Atop the nine-story building, Lincoln Social Rooftop will have a retractable roof, a fire pit, and, of course, views of the Columbus skyline.
“This is the first concept of its kind within the CMR family of restaurants,” said Hinshaw. “We look forward to creating a rooftop experience unlike any other Columbus has seen.”
The announcement of these two new concepts comes the same day CMR’s new hiring office opens at 692 N. High St. The company will add 100 new jobs between the two concepts, and they’re in search of servers, guest service associates, bartenders and kitchen staff.
