Press Release:
Brooklyn, NY, June 8, 2015:SugarBad began as an instrumental house band at downtown NYC’s 169 Bar, performing James Brown and Otis Redding hits for a rowdy afterhours crowd. After a fateful, spontaneous performance with St. Louisbred frontwoman Lisa Ramey, her powerful vocals and electric stage presence spurred a fast growing fan base around SugarBad’s unforgettable original songs.
Winter of 2015 saw SugarBad release their debut EP Up in the Cloud earning rave reviews and fans everywhere, with packed performances at Brooklyn Bowl and Rockwood Music Hall and tour dates across the Northeast. The EP is available for download through iTunes and can be streamed in full on Spotify and Soundcloud. Physical copies will be available at every show on this summer’s tour.
