After 18 years, Brioso Coffee’s flagship location is on the move. The coffee shop will relocate to the corner unit of 51 N. High St. this fall.

Brioso fans won’t have to travel far to get their caffeine fix. The new location in the Citizens building is caddy-corner from their current home at 14 E. Gay St.

“Staying on our block was extremely important to us when making the decision to grow our company and serve our community, our way,” says Owner Jeff Davis. “The support from the Downtown neighborhood has been overwhelming through the years and we are excited to stay with the people and place that helped us get to where we are today.”

The new location is smaller at 1,100 square feet, which Davis says is a better fit for their coffee-focused concept. The menu will feature Biroso’s evolving list of coffees based on sourcing, as well as a lineup of seasonal drinks. Davis says they will look to bolster their pastry offerings by partnering with a local bakery and potentially add some grab-and-go food items.

Brioso will continue to operate its Discovery District location at 329 E. Long St. Opened in 2016, the space includes a coffee bar and the shop’s roasting facility.

Brioso joins the Citizens Trust and Veritas in the recently renovated Citizens building. Built in 1917 as The Citizens Trust and Savings Company, Edwards Companies rehabbed the upper floors into 63 apartment units.

Look for Brioso to move by late October.
