BrewDog Exploring Columbus for USA Production Expansion

Earlier this year, Stone Brewing recommended Columbus to Scotland-based BrewDog as a city worthy of consideration for production facilities expansion into the US market. It would seem that BrewDog has officially taken them up on that idea, as announced in a blog post on their website today:

“We are also delighted to announce that we are in advance discussions for a site in Columbus, Ohio that would house our USA production brewery. We will hopefully be able to provide you all with more of an update on this as soon as we can. In the meantime, we will continue to work hard to make this plan a reality!”

City of Columbus Development Director Steve Schoeny didn’t want to comment on active projects, but did confirm that his department is working on beer production post-Stone.

“We have continued to aggressively pursue opportunities to both grow our local brewery community, with expansions by CBC, North High, Barley’s and Four String, and attract national and global craft brewers,” he stated.
