Brewcadia is the newest arcade bar in Columbus, which will officially open its doors next week. The new Downtown bar is located directly above Barley’s Brewing Company at 467 North High Street, and is operated by the same parent company.
The new arcade features a lot of classic games including Cruisin’ USA, Asteroids, Space Invaders, Gaunlet Legends, Tekken Tag Tournament, Mrs. Pacman, Galaga, Virtua Cop 2, NBA Jam, The Walking Dead pinball and a single lane of skeeball. The bar features 40 beers on tap, which include a combination of beer from Barley’s, other local beer options, and some hard-to-find beers from microbreweries around the country. Food will be added to Brewcadia in the coming weeks, centered around a pizza menu.
Barley’s GM Jason Fabian said that a quiet soft opening over Arnold weekend proved to be a positive test run for the new bar, and a lot was learned about the layout of the space and the popularity of individual games, which will be relocated and tweaked prior to opening.
Brewcadia is scheduled to open on Thursday, March 17th.
