Breakaway Music Festival 2017 Dates Announced
Breakaway Music Festival is returning and expanding this fall. The two-day, 4-year-old music event, having hosted artists both emerging and acclaimed, will once again occupy the MAPFRE Stadium on September 1 and 2.
“Breakaway in 2016 exceeded our expectations and we felt it was only fitting to bring it back to MAPFRE Stadium (where the event was birthed in 2013),” said Zach Ruben, co-founder of Prime Social Group, in a press release.
Last year the fest was at the Ohio Expo Center Fairgrounds, but, based on a press release, the stadium will provide an all around better experience along with enhanced amenities for Breakaway-goers and organizers, “including easy parking, quality restroom facilities and on-brand food and beverage options. The options for production enhancements are almost limitless as well,” Ruben said.
Organizers also announced the expansion of the Breakaway brand to Grand Rapids Michigan. Breakaway Michigan will take place the weekend before Columbus’ festival, on August 25 and 26.
Early bird tickets for Breakaway in Columbus go on sale this Friday, April 14 at 12 p.m. Two-day early bird tickets start at $70 for general admission and $130 for VIP.
