    Bono Pizza Renovates and Reopens

Fans of Bono Pizza have been unable to get their fix since December 23rd, when owner/manager Jake Wilch announced that the store at 1412 Presidential Drive in the 5xNW neighborhood would be closed for approximately two weeks of renovations. Today, the store re-opens at 11am to kick off a new year with a fresh look.

“We got rid of some of the back area of the space to make the dining area larger,” explained Bono assistant Ruth Howard. “That allowed us to add more seating so that we’re able to better serve all of our customers.”

Bono relocated about a year ago following leasing problems with the landlord in the old spot on Northwest Boulevard. The current location is housed in the back of the 1420 Bar & Grill, which was originally planned to be a temporary home for the operation. Wilch took over operations at Bono Pizza from original founder Bill Yerkes back in 2013.
