Bob Evans is jumping on the brunch bandwagon, announcing the introduction of an all day, every day brunch menu.
“Brunch is a perfect marriage of what Bob Evans does best: breakfast and lunch,” said John Fisher, president of Bob Evans Restaurants, in a release.
The menu comes with an attempt to officially redefine brunch in Bob Evans’ name, reiterating its anytime appropriateness, casual comfort and social centric identity already well established by recent and upcoming Columbus establishments Biscuit and Branch, and Drunch.
They’ve even teamed up with The Emily Post Institute, releasing guidelines for the “new brunch,” asserting that the meal is a time of sharing, and that popular brunch drinks, like the Bloody Mary or mimosa, are unnecessary for its enjoyment.
“The etiquette around brunch has always been to make guests feel comfortable and at ease,” said Lizzie Post, The Emily Post Institute spokesperson, in a press release.
Their new menu features some staples, like bacon, chicken and waffles, and a biscuit dish, as well as some that are less iconically “brunchy.” A pot roast hash, Green Goddess Salad and a burger are on the menu, as well as a sweet option in the sticky bun cake.
“With our introduction of brunch, we are combining our amazing breakfast expertise with the innovative taste offerings that are at the heart of the Bob Evans menu,” Fisher said.
Bob Evans brunch launched yesterday and is available at all 523 locations.
