Black Point Opens in The Short North

Hyde Park continues its takeover of the I-670 Cap in The Short North with today’s opening of Black Point, a new restaurant in the former Sushi Rock space at 570 North High Street. Black Point’s menu features seafood, sushi and steaks with stylish modern decor and what the owners describe as a social/energetic atmosphere.

“We enjoy offering our guests an experience they won’t find just anywhere and one that crosses broad demographic boundaries”, said Black Point co-owner Joe Saccone. “We believe Black Point represents the best of a new generation of American restaurants with food, service & décor, delivered at a very high level, in a sophisticated, yet informal setting.”

The large restaurant seats 225 customers, features over 200 bottled wines, and barrel-aged and house-bottled liquors for their cocktail menu. Similar to Hyde Park, Black Point will be able to accommodate private groups ranging from six to 80 people, and their proximity to the convention center and its hotels provides an accessible venue for visitors who need space for executive meetings and events.

Black Point will officially open for business at 4:30pm this evening.
