North Market Partners with Mercato for Delivery
North Market groceries and provisions could soon be arriving on your doorstep. North Market Downtown, 59 Spruce St., has partnered with third-party grocery delivery service Mercato.
Ordering is now available between 10 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Tuesday to Friday, and deliveries will arrive the next day (Friday orders will arrive Tuesday).
“This past Spring, the pandemic delivery bundles were hugely important for many of our merchants to stay afloat, and for guests stuck in quarantine to safely purchase groceries,” said North Market Executive Director Rick Harrison Wolfe. “We knew we had to find a permanent delivery solution to help our community. Mercato has helped North Market navigate the tricky business of grocery delivery and we are thrilled to be working with them to fulfill your orders!”

3 Local Black-Owned Restaurants Receive Money from Discover
Three Columbus restaurants have won funding as a part of Discover’s $5 million Eat it Forward program to support Black-owned restaurants.
Discover is handing out 200 $25,000 awards to Black-owned restaurants across the country to help them bounce back from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Winners are selected at random based on the public’s social media nominations.
Three local black-owned restaurants will receive $25,000 each:
- Bake Me Happy
- Hen Quarter
- J Gumbo’s Delaware

Budd Dairy Bumps Opening Date, Looks for New Vendor
Initially expected to open in early 2020, Budd Dairy Food Hall’s debut has been pushed back to next year. The chef-driven incubator concept from Cameron Mitchell Restaurants is now aiming for a spring 2021 opening at 1086 N. Fourth St. in Italian Village.
The Food Hall is also looking for a new vendor to join its ranks. Nine chef partners had previously been announced, including Tacos Rudos, Boni Filipino Street Food, Pokebap, Stauf’s, Cousins Maine Lobster, Modern Southern Table, Alphabetical Comfort Kitchen, Darista and Borgata Pizza. One vendor has decided not to move forward with their plans, however the identity of that vendor is not yet publicly available.
Chefs and aspiring restaurateurs can apply here. Applications are open through the end of 2020.

Local Cantina Headed for Canal Winchester
Local Tex-Mex chain Local Cantina has plans for its next location. The taco joint is aiming for an April 2021 opening at 20 W. Waterloo St. in Canal Winchester.
It will be Local Cantina’s 11th restaurant in Central Ohio with locations spanning Short North to Clintonville to New Albany and Hilliard.

Shots & Slices Reopens
Shots & Slices is back in action, open daily from 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. Located at 554 E. Whittier St., Shots & Slices made its debut earlier this summer before closing in mid-September and re-opening as of November 2.
The bar and pizza joint offers an extensive menu of pies, including Pepperoni, Buffalo Chicken, Hawaiian, Breakfast and more. Happy hour runs from 3 – 9 p.m. Monday to Saturday, with additional daily specials and events.

Seitan’s Realm Debuts in Clintonville
The vegan eatery with the most metal name, Seitan’s Realm celebrated its grand opening at 3496 N. High St. in Clintonville on Friday, November 6.
The food truck made it permanent, taking over the former home of A Common Table, bringing with it menu favorites Beaf N Chedduh, curly fries and more.
Seitan’s Realm will be open from 5 – 9 p.m. Thursday to Saturday.
Tiger + Lily Welcomes Back Dine-In Guests
Downtown’s Tiger + Lily is welcoming back guests for dine-in service. Serving up a menu of Asian inspired flavors with a modern twist, eats include appetizers like spring rolls, edamame and dumplings, entrees like lemongrass chicken, teriyaki tofu and chicken katsu, as well as an extensive lineup of noodle dishes.
Tiger + Lily is open for dine-in daily from 11:30 a.m. – 9 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 11:30 a.m. – 10 p.m. Friday, 12 – 10 p.m. Saturday and 12 – 9 p.m. Sunday.

Katalina’s Launches Meal Kits
If a visit or carryout order from Katalina’s is not enough, the restaurant has introduced its very own take and make meal kits.
The kits feed four to six people and are currently available in seven varieties, including Chorizo or Vegan “Na-cho Regular Nachos,” Chorizo, Pulled Pork or BLT Taco and more.
The meal kits are available for delivery, carryout or curbside pickup from either Katalina’s location, 1105 Pennsylvania Ave. in Harrison West, or 3481 N. High St. in Clintonville. Both locations are open daily from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
