The region’s only full-service kosher market will close its doors by March 21. Bexley Kosher Market was for sale, but owner Irv Szames was unable to find a buyer.
It’s not all bad news for local shoppers, however. Kroger will expand the kosher offerings at its 3675 E. Broad St. store to include a full-service kosher deli with fresh-cut meat.
The kosher goods will be overseen by a mashgiach, a supervisor who ensures that everything is done according to Jewish law.
