Last year was the first year that we surveyed our readers on their favorite place to take in the moviegoing experience, and for two years in a row, the competition was neck-and-neck between Studio 35 and the Gateway Film Center. And while the GFC edged ahead last year, Studio 35 managed to take the crown this year as the official best local theater of 2014.
