For four years running, Jeni’s Ice Creams have taken the top spot in our annual reader survey when it comes to naming the best locally made product in the city. Of course, the full top 10 list is very food-and-drink heavy, which means that many successful Columbus entrepreneurs are very food-focused, and that local consumers love the products that they’re able to eat and drink.
While Jeni’s didn’t open any new local stores in 2014, they did grow their national footprint significantly this year with new scoop shop locations in Charleston, Atlanta and a St. Louis store announced for 2015. The expansion across the country still benefits the company back home, which moved into a larger Downtown headquarters earlier this month.
