    Best Columbus Landmark of 2011: The LeVeque Tower

    When it comes to identifying Columbus through the lens of physical structures, we’ve got some interesting displays to choose from. Some are historic, like the Ohio Statehouse and the Union Station Arch, and others are newer displays of public artwork, like the Field of Corn or the CCAD Art Sign.

    The local landmark voted as the most popular is the 47-story LeVeque Tower, which was the fifth tallest building in the world when it was completed in 1924. In more recent news, a new owner of the building has plans to convert some of the floors for residential use, and a new documentary emerged this year from local documentary filmmaker Seth Moherman.
