This Thursday, you’ll be able to try out over a dozen of the city’s best burgers at our third annual Best Bites: Burgers festival! Many of your favorite burger-making restaurants and food trucks are pulling out all the stops with their tastiest creations, including the four that you’ll see below in addition to the others previously previewed here and here.
Limited tickets are still available for the event, and are selling quickly. Check out this sneak peek at what you’ll find at the event:
The fine folks from The Blind Lady Tavern are crafting a burger (pictured up top) for you that features local grass-fed beef, packed with smoked Gouda and candied bacon, and topped with Me Maw’s BBQ Sauce, b&b pickles, jalapeños and red onions.
Local food truck Paddy Wagon is featuring their popular “Bacon the Law” burger, which features Angus beef patties topped with Applewood bacon, melted cheese, Pit-style BBQ sauce and an unlawful combination of sautéed mushrooms & caramelized onions.
The Point Bar & Grill at Star Lanes Polaris will be showing off their Smoky BBQ Burger  — which features a hand-packed patty topped with aged Tillamook cheddar, Applewood smoked bacon, fried onions and a house made honey mustard BBQ sauce.
Our friends from The Crest Gastropub are making an amazing short rib beef blend burger that is topped with Ray Ray’s Hog Pit burnt ends, Alabama BBQ sauce and a sweet corn relish, served on a brioche bun.
And last but not least, Melt Bar & Grilled is whipping up a special mystery dessert for Best Bites: Burgers attendees. We’ve got no details or photos to show on this one, so you’ll just have to show up and check it out!
All of the participating restaurants in this year’s event include: The Crest, Paddy Wagon, Bareburger, Gallerie Bar & Bistro, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, The Grand Event Center, Street Thyme Food Truck, Due Amici, Hoof Hearted Brewing, Westies Gastropub, Melt Bar & Grilled, The Point Bar & Grill, and The Blind Lady Tavern.
Advance tickets to the event are $30 which include burger samples from each vendor, live entertainment, a cash bar featuring Modelo and a chance to vote on your favorite burgers of the night. Two ticketed times are available: 6pm-8pm or 8pm-10pm, and tickets are expected to sell out in advance.
A portion of all ticket sales from Best Bites: Burgers will be donated to She has a Name, a local nonprofit that is committed to engaging and equipping volunteers, serving partner organizations, and providing job readiness initiatives for survivors of human trafficking. They join together declaring that survivors of trafficking have a name, a nobility, and a narrative. The Best Bites series has raised over $22,000 for local charities since 2014.
